Key Takeaways:
Trust Wallet users who hold assets on the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) are encouraged to migrate those assets to the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), to ensure the safety of their funds.
Users can use either the Trust Wallet mobile app or browser extension to migrate their assets. Trust Wallet will continue to update users as the BNB Chain team carries out the sunsetting process.
Before you continue, ensure you have the most updated version of Trust Wallet, to ensure you can migrate your assets.
Before you begin migration, important note on transaction (gas) fees
Please note that migrating your BEP2 assets to BEP20 requires BNB on the Beacon Chain (BEP2) to cover any transaction (gas) fees. Without BNB on BEP2 to cover transaction fees, swapping assets from BEP2 to BEP20 will not work. In the event that you do not have BNB on BEP2 you can purchase it within Trust Wallet via our trusted partners.
Here’s how:
Using the mobile app: Select “Buy” → Locate and select BNB (choose the yellow BNB icon, which is BEP2) → Choose your preferred currency, amount, and payment provider → Select the buy button and complete the transaction steps.
Using the browser extension: Select “Buy & Sell” → Choose your preferred currency → Locate and select BNB → Select preferred payment provider and complete the transaction steps.
How to migrate your assets using the Trust Wallet mobile app

Open the Trust Wallet mobile app and select the BEP2 asset to migrate.
Select “Swap” on the asset’s details page.
Select “Swap to BNB Smart Chain”.
Choose the maximum amount to swap by selecting “Max”, then select “Continue”.
Review the details and then select “Confirm”.
And that’s it. You’ve migrated your BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) asset over to the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), using the Trust Wallet mobile app.
Important note: If you have any remaining assets on the BNB Beacon Chain, repeat the steps above for each one.
