En résumé
TON wallet addresses changing to UQ format. Your funds are safe and old addresses will continue to work. Learn about the reasons for this change and what it means for you.
Important Update: Changes to TON Wallet Addresses
We’re making an important change to how TON wallet addresses look. TON wallet addresses will begin with “UQ” instead of “EQ” and the last four characters will also change.
What does this mean for you?
Your funds are safe: This change does not affect the security of your TON holdings in any way.
Old addresses will still work: You can continue to use your existing “EQ” address.
New addresses are coming: Trust Wallet will automatically update to the new “UQ” format.
Your Wallet
Old Address: EQAYFk3GcNprdsH5h…IBJlXvJ4TH0xTY7fjNM
New Address: UQAYFk3GcNprdsH5h…IBJlXvJ4TH0xTY7fm5I
Why are we making this change?
There are two types of addresses on the TON blockchain. Until now, we’ve been using one type for everything. However, one type is better suited for wallets, while the other is better for smart contracts.
By switching to the “UQ” format, we’re improving the efficiency and reliability of TON wallets.
What happens if someone sends TON to your old “EQ” address?
Most likely: If the wallet is already in use, you won’t notice any difference.
Less likely: If the wallet is new and hasn’t been used yet, you’ll need to ask the recipient for the new “UQ” address.
Thank you for your continued support. The Trust Wallet Team
