I confess I felt a wave of demotivation late last year. In a space dominated by hyper-short term speculation, what was the point of enduring hardship and slow pain to build something meaningful in the long term? With so much attention being chain-specific, our multi-chain approach sometimes made us feel like an orphan without a direct "parent." But this challenge reaffirmed our mission: to stand firmly on users’ side, independent of any single chain.

Renewing Our Vision: A “Human Interface” for Web3 and Beyond

My frustration shifted during our offsite at the start of this year, where we revisited the fundamental “why” of Trust Wallet. Despite the sprint for short-term returns, we see that genuine progress continues in our space. My chats with attendees of the Satoshi Roundtable last week also revealed that many BUIDLers are creating real-world value that endures market cycles. Having weathered three major cycles ourselves, we at Trust Wallet are proud to be guided by a long-term, user-value-first philosophy.

We believe the most transformative value in crypto arises when blockchain technology empowers people—granting them direct control over their assets, identities, and data. Wallets are the “front-end” of the industry, and we intend to continuously evolve, so that people feel both excited and secure about their interactions in the future economy.

With AI advancing rapidly, self-sovereignty—our ability to maintain control of our digital assets, data, and identities—becomes even more crucial. Protecting and strengthening that self-sovereignty guides our vision.
