Learn about Trust Wallet's changes to network support for Aion (AION), Nebulas (NAS) and Viacoin (VIA). Plus, get instructions to migrate your assets if you hold assets on these specific blockchains.

Trust Wallet Network Support Update: Aion, Nebulas, and Viacoin

On January 31, 2024, Trust Wallet will end support for the following blockchains: Aion (AION), Nebulas (NAS) and Viacoin (VIA)

This decision is a result of an extensive evaluation based on several critical factors, including user engagement levels, network security risks, and the need to focus our resources on developing highly-requested features that enrich the Trust Wallet ecosystem. We want to reassure you that Trust Wallet continues to support ~100 blockchains and 10M+ assets, remaining your accessible and trusted gateway to the Web3 world.

What does this mean for existing Trust Wallet users?

If you have assets on the Aion, Nebulas, Viacoin blockchains, you’ll need to take action and move your assets to a different wallet address or import them to a platform outside of the Trust Wallet ecosystem.

You’ll need to take action prior to January 31, 2024 – or you risk losing your assets.

We’ll continue to have periodic reviews of our chain support, to increase the safety for our users and to allow us more time to #BUIDL the things our users want the most.

Reasons Behind Our Decision

As we phase out support for select chains, we want to share the comprehensive reasons for this move:

Want to remind you again that this move does not affect the existing support for the ~100 blockchain networks Trust Wallet currently supports or any existing features, both of which we will continue to improve and add additional chains & integrations for.

Options for Moving Your Assets

There are multiple options to securely maintain access to your assets. Let’s have a look at them. Send Your Assets to Another Address Outside

You can easily send your assets to another wallet address. For example, you can send your assets to an address on a centralized crypto exchange such as Binance and many others.

Here are the steps:

Depending on the networking the transaction could take a few minutes or much more. Be sure to periodically check the address you sent the assets to and be sure to reach out to our support team if you need assistance.

Back Up Your Secret Phrase, Then Import to a Wallet That Supports The Chain

Another option to maintain access to your assets is to use a wallet that has support for them. For example, you can find a wallet that specializes in the assets that we are discontinuing support for.

In order to access your assets via another wallet, you'll do the following.

  1. Obtain your 12-word secret phrase from Trust Wallet.

  2. Import that secret phrase into another Web3 wallet that supports the assets in question.

Here’s how to get your secret phrase from Trust Wallet

Now that you have your secret phrase, you can import it to another wallet that supports the assets that Trust Wallet is discontinuing support for.
