Privacy Notice

DApps Platform Software Services LTD (“Trust Wallet”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy, and we take our data protection responsibilities with the utmost seriousness.

This Privacy Notice provides information regarding the processing by Trust Wallet of personal data of individuals who register for a Trust Wallet organized (or co-organized) event. For purposes of this Privacy Notice, “event” includes any forum, conference, organizations whether taking place virtually or in-person by Trust Wallet.

1. What personal data does Trust Wallet collect and process?

The personal data may be directly provided by you on a voluntary basis at the time of registration for events and may include various types of personal data, including the following:

Full name, e-mail address, gender, phone number, date of birth, country of residence, photographs, and a video recording of you

Surveys responses, information contained in the Survey.

E-mail address, country, region

Please note that if we obtain personal data from third-party sources, we will look to ensure that the third party has lawful authority to provide us with your personal data.

2. Why does Trust Wallet process my personal data?

We always process your personal data for a specific purpose and only process the personal data which is relevant to achieve that purposes/ In particular, we process your personal information for any or all of the following purposes:

  • To host, and/or organize and events.

If you register for one of our events and you are a user, we will access the information in your account to provide you with information and services associated with the event. You may be asked to provide more information when signing up for an event.

If you are not a user and you sign up for one of our events, we will collect the following information: name, email, company, title, industry, address, phone number, whether meal preferences, wallet address and the like

If you are a presenter at one of our events, we will collect information about you including your name, employer and Contact Information, and photograph, and we may also collect information provided by event attendees who evaluated your performance as a presenter. We may also make and store a recording of your voice and likeness in certain instances.

  • To provide you with information about the event(s) which you have registered, such as event updates, and possible changes, cancellations or similar information

  • To fulfil and monitor our legal responsibilities, for example under public safety legislations

  • In accordance with your preferences, to communicate with you about the other events, news and services we provice

  • To share your personal data with our sponsors or third parties relevant for the organization of the event.

Some of our events are sponsored. Trust Wallet may provide an attendee list to sponsors, co-sponsors and exhibitors of our events.

Trust Wallet may also allow sponsors, co-sponsors and/or exhibitors to send you material by mail once per sponsored event, in which case Trust Wallet engages a third-party mailing house and does not share your mailing address directly with the sponsor/exhibitor. If you do not wish to have your information included in an attendee list or to receive information from sponsors, co-sponsors and/or exhibitors, you can express your preferences when you register for events or you may contact Trust Wallet directly at dpo@Trust Wallet.com. We do give attendees a choice not to receive marketing messages from the sponsor or from Trust Wallet.

Legal Basis for our use of Personal Data

We will not process your personal data if we do not have a proper justification foreseen in the applicable law for that purpose. Therefore, we will only process your personal data based on the following legal basis for the puposes indicated under this Privacy Notice:

  • We have obtained your consent

  • The processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligation

  • The processing is necessary for our legitimate interest and does not unduly affect your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms.

  • The processing is necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

When you decide to participate in an event or act as a presenter for the event, we rely on your consent to process your personal data for attendance to an event. When you consent to processing your personal data for a specified purpose, you may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop processing your personal data for that purpose.

If you are a presenter at one of our events, we may also like to take photographs, and make and store a will collect recording of your voice and likeness in certain instances. In these situations Trust Wallet relies on a legitimate interest basis for collecting, storing and processing this personal data.

When we organize events and work with sponsors, co-sponsors and exhibitors and send material, we rely on your consent to send you material about the event or direct marketing email. When you consent to processing your personal data for a specified purpose, you may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop processing your personal data for that purpose.

3. How and why we share your personal data?

We may share your Personal Data with third parties (including other Trust Wallet entities) if we believe that sharing your Personal Data is in accordance with, or required by, any contractual relationship with you or us, applicable law, regulation or legal process. When sharing your Personal Data with other Trust Wallet entities, we will use our best endeavors to ensure that such entities are either subject to this Privacy Notice, or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

For the purposes under the Privacy Notice, your personal data may be disclosed to the following persons or in the following circumstances:

Affiliates

Affiliates: Personal data that we process and collect may be transferred between Trust Wallet companies as a normal part of conducting business and offering our Services to you. See Section 1 “Trust Wallet Relationship with you” and Section 2. “What Personal Data does Trust Wallet collect and process?”.

Co-Organizers

We may engage with co-organizers as reasonably necessary for the management and organization of specific event that you have registered.

Third party service providers

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions and services on our behalf. In this regard, third party service providers may assist Trust Wallet with the specific event subject to contractually agreed conditions of confidentiality and security. These third-party service providers only have access to personal data needed to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process the personal data in accordance with our contractual agreements and only as permitted by applicable data protection laws. We may also disclose your personal data to other third parties such as sponsors, co-sponsors and exhibitors of our events by relying on your specific preference of sharing.

Legal Authorities:

We may be required by law or by Court to disclose certain information about you or any engagement we may have with you to relevant regulatory, law enforcement and/or other competent authorities. We will disclose information about you to legal authorities to the extent we are obliged to do so according to the law.

4. International transfer of personal data

Trust Wallet will in certain circumstances disclose personal data to third parties or allow personal data to be stored or handled in countries within or outside of the jurisdiction where the event is taking place. We will only transfer personal data for the purposes indicated under Section 2 “Why does Trust Wallet process my personal data?” and for the third parties indicated under Section 3 “How and why we share your personal data?”.

In this regard, Trust Wallet may transfer your personal data to third parties outside of the jurisdiction where the event is taking place based on your consent and other legal grounds, where applicable . In some other circumstances where Trust Wallet would not be able to rely on your consent, we follow procedures and principles to be applied for the transfer of personal data are regulated under Article 8 and 9 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law and

5. How secure is my data?

We design our systems with your security and privacy in mind. We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent your data being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We work to protect the security of your personal data during transmission and while stored by using encryption protocols and softwares. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of your personal data. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.

6. How long does Trust Wallet keep my personal data?

Trust Wallet will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

Credit card numbers, security codes and bank account information provided at the time of registration for an event are never retained.

7. What about audio and visual recording; live-streaming?

Photographs and/or audio-visual footage may be taken and/or live-streamed during (part of) a Trust Wallet event. Photos and videos can be published on Trust Wallet websites and social media pages as well as on the co-organizer’s online platforms. Photos and videos may also be recorded and can be reproduced in various media including Trust Wallet publications, social networks and press, in connection with a specific event, or for further institutional purposes as well as for promotional activities of Trust Wallet.

By attending a Trust Wallet organized (or co-organized) event, you agree you may appear in published photos and/or videos as stated above.

8. What rights do I have?

You may exercise the following rights under the conditions and within the limits set forth under the applicable legislation:

  • The right to be informed about what personal data we have about you and how we process your personal data

  • The right to access your personal data as processed by us and if, you believe that any information relating you is incorrect, obsolete or incomplete, to request its correction or updating

  • The right to request erasure of your personal data or the restriction thereof to specific categories of processing, if any.

  • The right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing before such withdrawal.

  • The right to opt-out from receiving direct marketing communications.
