Trust Wallet in 2025: Leading the Wallet Era

Introduction

Welcome to our end-of-year wrap-up! 2025 was a defining year for Trust Wallet and for the wallet era in general. As more people moved from custodial platforms to self-custody, wallets stopped being “just a place to store crypto” and became the main way people experience Web3 day to day. We believe wallets replace banks for many everyday money tasks and take over a big part of what people use centralized exchanges for.

Case in point: Trust Wallet crossed over 220 million users in 2025. For comparison, Binance, the world’s largest exchange by volume, is now around 300 million users and Revolut has over 65 million. We are leading the wallet era at global scale while staying true to open, self-custodial access.

At the start of 2025, our CEO Eowyn Chen set a clear direction: Trust Wallet’s next chapter is to become a true Web3 companion. That matters because as more of finance and ownership move onchain, people need a place they can trust to start their journey, manage their assets, and grow safely over time. This year we laid the foundations of that companion with features like:

• Stablecoin Earn to help eligible users put idle stablecoins to work.

• Access to tokenized stocks (RWAs) for users who traditionally had little exposure to such markets.

• Pro trading tools like Perpetuals for advanced users.

All of this delivered inside the same self-custody app millions already rely on.

Together, these milestones show what’s possible when you combine innovation with a strong community, and how far we’ve come in evolving Trust Wallet from a simple wallet app into a full Web3 companion.

• Crossed 220M+ users

• Maintained our position as the #1 self-custody wallet, with up to 35% market share.

• Achieved 150% revenue growth year-over-year (YoY).

• Became the first major self-custody wallet to bring access to RWAs and Predictions directly into the app for eligible users.

• Added pro tools like Perpetuals for users who want more advanced trading options.

• Grew our ecosystem with TWT’s new era, the Trust Premium rewards program, and our launch and growth platform Trust Alpha

• Launched the Trust Moon Web3 accelerator, that helps promising builders launch and scale their projects.

• Relaunched the Trust Squad Career Accelerator program, recruited 70+ members who contributed to product insights, content creation and led 50+ community meet-ups.

• Launched Trust Talks, a leading Web3 podcast featuring influential guests from across the industry.

Product innovation: Onchain finance & pro tools

In 2025, we made Trust Wallet a stronger place to actually do things onchain, not just check balances, and hold assets. Eligible users gained more ways to use stablecoins and tokenized assets directly from the wallet, while advanced traders could tap into Perpetuals and smarter swap tooling without leaving their main companion app. Behind the scenes, improvements to gas handling, routing, and risk controls were designed to make transactions feel more predictable and transparent, so people can focus less on fighting the interface and more on making informed decisions.

Key highlights

• Launched Stablecoin Earn, allowing eligible users to earn yield on stablecoins sitting idle in their wallet. To date, Trust Wallet users have trusted $155M+ to the feature.

• Brought tokenized stocks (RWAs) into the wallet, giving eligible users, especially those with limited access to traditional markets, a way to gain exposure to traditional markets.

• Rolled out FlexGas, EIP-7702 support and Gas Sponsorship, easing one of Web3’s biggest pain points by making gas payments more flexible and less confusing on supported networks.

• Added Perpetuals with leverage up to 200X for eligible users who want more advanced trading tools, so derivatives markets can be accessed from the same self-custody app they already use.

• Introduced a one-stop shop for prediction markets to hundreds of millions of users

Security & safety: Protecting self-custody at scale

Security has always been the backbone of Trust Wallet, and in 2025 we focused on making protection feel more real-time, visible, and built into everyday actions. As we added more powerful features for onchain finance and pro trading, we also tightened risk checks, improved how approvals are managed, and contributed to Ethereum standards that make user operations safer by design. The goal is simple: if wallets are going to lead the next era of finance, people need to feel confident that their self-custody companion is watching their back.

• In 2025 alone, our security scanner has prevented over $191M from being sent to known scam addresses.

• Helped users recover over $260K in stolen funds and secured another $370K through coordinated investigations with exchanges.

• Trust Wallet became the first major crypto wallet extension to offer biometric login, using Touch ID.

• Introduced clearer token approval controls, making it easier to see and revoke risky contract approvals directly from Trust Wallet.

• Rolled out MEV protections on supported Solana flows to reduce certain types of extractive behavior around user transactions.

• Improved fake token and honeypot checks in swap flows, with more visible warnings when assets look suspicious.

• Helped shape the ecosystem with a Trust Wallet–authored Ethereum standard (ERC-8023) focused on safer user operations.

A better everyday experience: Making Web3 feel easy

In 2025, we spent a lot of time making Trust Wallet feel more like a helpful companion and less like a collection of separate Web3 tools. We focused on making the app even easier to use, without losing any of its functionatily – whether you’re checking balances, connecting to a dApp, or topping up for the next transaction. The goal is to make everyday actions simpler and less stressful, even as Trust Wallet adds more powerful onchain features.

• Refreshed the mobile homepage so key balances and actions are easier to see at a glance.

• Expanded swap and asset coverage with new paths and chains (BTC, TRON, TON, SUI, Sonic, Monad, etc.), reaching 110+ chains, 1000+ custom EVM chains, and 32M+ assets.

• Enhanced onramps with Buy+, Apple Pay and Google Pay support, and broader P2P options in eligible regions.

• Improved token discovery so users see relevant assets without constantly switching chains during key actions like swaps.

• Added multi-account support under one recovery phrase, helping people keep personal, trading, and test accounts organized in a single companion.

• Introduced advanced slippage settings, giving users more control over trades while keeping safer defaults for most swaps.

• Upgraded the browser extension with clearer dApp connection indicators and QR sync between mobile and extension for safer device switching. Also added biometric login (such as Touch ID) to reduce friction while keeping accounts protected.

• Improved support experience with Priority Support for eligible TWT holders and AI-powered tools like the transaction checker and in-app assistant, so users can get clearer answers and faster help when something goes wrong.

Ecosystem & builders: Powering a platform around TWT

In 2025, we started to formalize the ecosystem around Trust Wallet, not just the features inside the app. With a new roadmap and vision for TWT, plus the release of the updated LitePaper, we set out how Trust Wallet plans to onboard the next wave of users and how TWT powers access, participation, and premium features along the way.

At the same time, we launched programs like Trust Moon and Trust Premium to give both sides of the ecosystem a clearer role. Builders get distribution, growth tools, and a path into the wider Binance ecosystem. Users and TWT holders get earlier access, better-aligned rewards, and more ways to be part of what gets built next rather than just watching from the sidelines.

All of this is grounded in the same thing that has always driven Trust Wallet forward: a global community of everyday users, long-term holders, and Trust Squad volunteers who test new ideas, show up for launches, and help shape which projects and products deserve to grow.

• Unveiled a new TWT roadmap and vision, positioning TWT as the utility token that powers access, participation, and premium features as we work toward onboarding the next billion users.

• Published the TWT LitePaper, giving the community a clearer view of how TWT fits into everyday finance, advanced trading, and earning layers across the Trust Wallet ecosystem.

• Launched Trust Premium, a loyalty program where users earn XP for everyday actions in the wallet, can boost benefits by locking TWT, and unlock tiered perks that reward consistent, long term use.

• Introduced Trust Moon, our Web3 accelerator, giving builders access to Trust Wallet’s 220M+ user base, wallet-native growth tools, and a pathway into the broader Binance ecosystem with support from leading partners.

• Rolled out Trust Alpha as a launch and growth platform where power users and builders can test new products, campaigns, and token launches together, often as a bridge into the wider Binance ecosystem.

• Created more opportunity for TWT holders across these programs, from early access and curated rewards in Trust Moon launches to boosted benefits inside Trust Premium.

• Continued to expand integrations with ecosystems and chains, so projects building on networks like BNB Chain, Polygon, and emerging environments such as Sonic and Monad can reach users directly through Trust Wallet.

Our community: Strength in numbers

In 2025, our community continued to be the engine behind everything we do. From long-time Trust Squad volunteers to new users discovering self-custody for the first time, people around the world helped stress-test features, share feedback, and bring Trust Wallet into more conversations online and offline. We doubled down on content, meet-ups, and programs that put users at the center and gave more space for local stories to be heard.

• Launched Trust Talks, a Web3 podcast and content series featuring voices from across the industry, and expanded into regional formats like Trust Talks Africa. Trust Talks also feature live (IRL) episodes on site at key events.

• Showed up big at major industry events including Eth Denver, Devconnect, Web3 Festival Hong Kong, Paris Blockchain Week, Coinfest Asia, WebX Asia, Eth Toronto, Token2049 Dubai and Singapore, India Blockchain Week and Binance Blockchain Week.

• Hosted local meetups and activations in countries such as Vietnam, Brazil, Nigeria, India, Indonesia and Turkey, bringing education and product sessions directly to users.

• Grew Trust Squad, our global volunteer program, to help moderate communities, support users, and give structured feedback on upcoming features.

• Ran exciting campaigns, Launchpool-style activations, airdrops, and themed events around major moments, all with a focus on self-custody and safer exploration.

• Celebrated external recognition such as our CEO, Eowyn Chen being named among the Top 50 Women in Web3 & AI, and industry awards that highlighted Trust Wallet as a leading Web3 wallet.

Scale & sustainable growth: Building for the Long-term

In 2025, we focused on growing responsibly on top of that foundation we built the year before. We continued to scale our user base, deepen activity across swaps and onchain finance, and keep performance stable enough to support long-term building. The goal is not just to be a big wallet today, but to remain a dependable Web3 companion for the next cycles ahead.

• Crossed 220M+ users globally (that’s an over 10X+ increase from 2022).

• 105% revenue growth year-over-year (YoY).

• Achieved 35% Monthly Active User (MAU) market share.

• Grew Stablecoin Earn total value locked (TVL) to $155M+, reflecting higher onchain usage of stablecoins in self-custody.

• Reached new highs in swap activity, with peak periods seeing $390M+ USD in weekly volume and around 260K+ weekly active traders.

• Sustained profitable, self-sufficient operations following our first 8-digit profit year in 2024, while continuing to invest in product, security, and ecosystem growth.

• Trust Wallet is listed as one of the Talent Titans Top 100 companies to work for in Web3.

Looking ahead: From Web3 companion to everyday finance

2025 was about proving that a wallet can be more than storage. With Stablecoin Earn, early access to tokenized assets, FlexGas, and a clearer TWT roadmap, we began to show what a true Web3 companion looks like in practice. The next step is making that companion feel closer to an everyday financial app people can rely on, while keeping self-custody at the core.

As we look ahead, the lines between wallets, exchanges, fintech apps, and traditional banks will continue to blur. Crypto wallets and exchanges are evolving toward next-generation consumer finance experiences, while banks increasingly serve as the TradFi infrastructure beneath them. At the same time, stronger fiat onramps, wider stablecoin adoption, and growing momentum around real-world asset tokenization are tightening the bridge between TradFi and DeFi, helping bring global distribution to traditional assets onchain.

Even as market conditions change, our focus stays the same: delivering a simpler, more intuitive “Web2-like” experience on Web3 rails, without compromising user control. We’ve also started carefully baking AI into parts of the product experience, and we’ll continue to explore where it can responsibly help with clarity, safety, and usability as AI becomes more embedded across consumer finance. As Trust Wallet deepens its role as a long-term companion, we remain disciplined on security, compliance, and sustainable growth so we can continue to serve users across market cycles and into the next era of everyday onchain finance.
