FlexGas - Pay for Gas with TWT, USDT, or BNB
Share post
In Brief
Trust Wallet now supports EIP-7702 with FlexGas—pay gas with TWT, USDT & more. Smarter fees, full self-custody. Update your app to try it now!

Ethereum just took a big leap forward with its latest upgrade — and so did Trust Wallet.
As part of our commitment to simplify Web3 for everyone, we’re proud to be the first major wallet to support EIP-7702 — a new standard that enhances EOAs (Externally Owned Accounts) with smart account features without giving up self-custody.
And with this upgrade, we’re excited to introduce FlexGas: a smarter, more flexible way to pay for gas.
What Is FlexGas?
FlexGas lets you pay for gas fees using TWT, USDT, on top of ETH & BNB, — so you don’t need to keep a separate stash of native tokens just to cover transaction fees.
That means:
No more juggling token balances
No more failed transactions due to insufficient gas
A smoother, more flexible & intuitive wallet experience
How it Works
Using FlexGas is simple:
Initiate a transaction as usual (Send crypto)
Tap on the “Network fee” option
Choose BNB, TWT, or USDT (on BSC), and ETH or USDT (on Ethereum) to pay the gas
Done — Trust Wallet handles the rest behind the scenes.
FlexGas uses the power of EIP-7702 to let your EOA temporarily act like a smart account — just long enough to allow alternative gas payments — then reverts back to your regular self-custodial wallet.

Supported Actions
You can use FlexGas for Sending tokens. Update your app to the latest version to enjoy this feature.
Swapping tokens capability will be rolled out soon. Stay tuned.
Supported Tokens
FlexGas currently supports:
TWT
USDT
BNB
ETH
More token options are on the way.
Live on BSC & Ethereum
The feature is currently available on the following networks:
BNB Smart Chain (BSC)
Ethereum
We’re working to bring FlexGas to more networks soon.
Security First
FlexGas is built with Trust Wallet’s core principle in mind: you own your keys, you control your assets.
While FlexGas leverages EIP-7702 to enhance your wallet with smart account features, your wallet stays self-custodial at all times. You initiate and approve every action — and your private key remains in full control.
In Trust Wallet, delegation is tightly controlled for your protection:
You can only delegate to Trust Wallet’s own secure infrastructure
This means there’s no external delegation risk and no phishing attack vector tied to this mechanism.
This means:
No approvals to random contracts
No new keys or seed phrases
Fully opt-in, and fully under your control
Security is never an afterthought — it’s built into every layer of FlexGas.
Why It Matters
FlexGas isn’t just a convenience feature — it’s a step toward making crypto more accessible. By removing the friction of gas payments and reducing failed transactions, we’re making DeFi, NFTs, and everyday on-chain activity easier for everyone.
Plus, it’s fully non-custodial and opt-in — you stay in control of your keys and your funds, always.
Best Practices & Notes
Your chosen gas token (TWT, USDT, ETH & BNB) must be held on the same address you're sending from
You can still choose to use the native gas token if you prefer
Make sure your app is updated to the latest version of Trust Wallet
FlexGas does not compromise on security — your private key stays in charge, always.
A Glimpse Into the Future
FlexGas is just the beginning. With EIP-7702 unlocking the door to smart account capabilities — like token-based gas, programmability, and seamless batching — we're building a more powerful and user-friendly wallet experience for millions of users around the world.
Stay tuned — more innovations are coming soon.
