Trust Wallet is removing BRC-20 and inscription support. Here's what's changing, why, and what you need to do.

BRC-20 / Inscription Support Deprecation

Why We're Making This Change

BRC-20 support requires querying a secondary external service (Unisat) on top of our standard Bitcoin node. When that service experiences delays or rate limits, confirmed BTC transactions can appear in your history without reflecting in your balance.

BRC-20 usage on Trust Wallet is extremely low and continuing to decline, but the complexity it adds affects every BTC user. The inscription logic introduces unnecessary friction into Bitcoin balance handling for the vast majority of people who don't use it at all.

Removing it gives every Trust Wallet user a single, reliable source of truth for their BTC balance — always up to date, immediately after confirmation.

Important: If You Hold BRC-20 Inscriptions

If you have BRC-20 inscriptions you'd like to keep, act before 13th March 2026.

After this update, Trust Wallet will no longer display or protect inscribed UTXOs. To access and manage your inscriptions, import your seed phrase into a wallet with dedicated inscription support. Your inscriptions remain on-chain; Trust Wallet simply won't display them.

If you send BTC from an address that holds inscribed UTXOs after 13th March 2026, those UTXOs may be spent unintentionally. This cannot be undone.
