Introducing TrustConnect SDK: The free, open-source wallet connection library for every chain by Trust Wallet

We're excited to introduce TrustConnect SDK, Trust Wallet's first-party wallet connection library for web3 developers. It's free, open-source, and built for multi-chain from the ground up — giving developers everything they need to connect wallets across EVM, Bitcoin, and Solana without paying per user, negotiating licensing tiers, or stitching together multiple SDKs.

Now, we're making that infrastructure available to every developer building on Web3.

What is TrustConnect SDK?

TrustConnect SDK is a wallet connection library that lets developers add wallet connectivity to any web3 app — quickly, cleanly, and without third-party licensing costs.

It's modular and lightweight by design. You get a small bundle footprint, minimal dependencies, and a fully customizable UI layer that you can style to match your existing design system. There's no imposed branding, no locked-in defaults, and no vendor relationship to manage.

TrustConnect is released under the Apache 2.0 license. That means you can fork it, extend it, modify it, and ship it — for any project, commercial or otherwise.

What It Supports

TrustConnect SDK offers native multi-chain wallet connection in a single package:

No additional SDKs required. One integration, every chain.

Why Developers Are Switching

The wallet connection SDK market has a pricing problem.

Most established options charge based on monthly active users. For small teams and indie builders, this is manageable early on. As a dApp grows, those costs compound, and switching becomes disruptive. Developers find themselves locked in to pricing models that punish their own success.

Existing free alternatives are often EVM-only, forcing teams building cross-chain products to add more dependencies, more maintenance burden, and more surface area.

TrustConnect was designed to eliminate that trade-off. It's free to use, with no MAU-based pricing. It supports multiple chains natively. And because it's Apache 2.0 licensed, there's no vendor relationship at all — you own the integration.

How to Get Started

Getting TrustConnect into your project takes minutes:

  1. Install the SDK via npm or your preferred package manager.

  2. Import and configure — add your supported chains and wallet options in a single config object.

  3. Customize the UI — override styles to match your design system, or ship the default theme.

  4. Connect — your users can now connect any supported wallet across EVM, Bitcoin, and Solana.

Built to Grow With You

TrustConnect started as an internal tool. Trust Wallet's own web products were built on third-party wallet connection SDKs. As our product surface expanded, so did the costs and constraints.

We built TrustConnect to solve that for ourselves. We're releasing it because the same problem affects developers everywhere.

Because the SDK is open-source, the community can contribute, flag issues, and shape its direction.

This is developer infrastructure you can rely on. It's the same tooling we use ourselves.

FAQ

Is TrustConnect SDK really free? Yes. TrustConnect is free and open-source under the Apache 2.0 license — no MAU pricing, no paid tiers. The current release has no licensing fees.

Which chains does TrustConnect support? At launch, TrustConnect natively supports EVM-compatible chains, Bitcoin, and Solana. Additional chain support is planned as the SDK evolves.

Does TrustConnect only support Trust Wallet? No. TrustConnect is a multi-wallet SDK. Trust Wallet is one of the wallets it supports, not the only one. It supports EIP-6963, which automatically detects wallets the user already has installed in their browser, and also supports WalletConnect-compatible wallets. Developers choose which wallets to surface in their integration.

Can I customize the UI? Yes, fully. TrustConnect exposes its full UI layer for customization. You can override any style to match your product's design system, or use the default theme as-is.

What license does TrustConnect use? Apache 2.0. You can fork, modify, extend, and distribute TrustConnect for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, with no restrictions.

Where can I find the documentation and source code? Documentation is available at developer.trustwallet.com. The source code is available on GitHub.

Is this officially maintained by Trust Wallet? Yes. TrustConnect SDK is a first-party Trust Wallet product, maintained by our engineering team.

Build the Way You Want To
