Roman, Staff Engineer

Like many young boys, Roman's journey into the world of computers began with playing video games in his early childhood, sparking a passion for computer science and coding. Coincidentally, his first encounter with Bitcoin occurred within these video games, where it served as a payment token. This childhood fascination ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in FinTech.

During a brief career break in early 2022, Roman actively contributed to our Wallet Core Library on Github, driven by personal interest. This contribution opened doors for him, leading to an opportunity to join Trust Wallet as a senior engineer. In less than a year, Roman transitioned from an individual contributor to leading the Wallet Kit team, responsible for core technologies powering blockchain activities. In his role, he not only serves as a technical expert but also as a people manager, collaborating closely with Engineering Leadership and cross-functional teams for developing and implementing strategic projects and creating a nurturing and enabling environment for the talents in his team to thrive and grow.

The most rewarding aspect of working at Trust Wallet for Roman is the company's vision and mission to leverage blockchain technology to make a positive impact on the world. As someone who grew up in an orphanage, Roman believes everyone has the right to dream big, regardless of their background. He encourages others not to let limits set by others hinder their aspirations. With passion, belief, and hard work, everyone can shine and achieve their dreams.
