That work gave him something a typical engineering path wouldn't. A deep, ground-level understanding of where users actually struggle and where systems quietly break down. Over time, his contributions grew beyond CS. He started building internal tools, automating manual workflows, and helping improve operational efficiency across multiple teams. What began as small fixes turned into larger projects, and his role naturally shifted toward engineering.

The transition wasn't framed by titles or formal tracks. It was earned through ownership: by spotting friction, building solutions, and proving impact. Trust Wallet's culture made that path possible. Building the AI Backbone

Today, Josiah is part of the team building Trust Wallet's internal AI assistant, an automation backbone designed to empower teams across the organisation. It streamlines workflows, surfaces insights, and reduces manual work, freeing teams to focus on higher-impact problems. It's the most ambitious project he's taken on, and it draws directly from everything he's picked up across roles: the user empathy from CS, the systems thinking from internal tooling, and the engineering rigor of his current team.
