摘要
Discover how Rik Krieger’s journey, from fintech founder to Director of Global Operations at Trust Wallet — and his recent completion of Harvard Business School’s “Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage” program shaped the strategic vision, discipline, and user-first mindset he brings to the world’s most trusted Web3 wallet.

Rik’s Story
Rik Krieger’s path to Trust Wallet didn’t begin in a boardroom, it began with curiosity, entrepreneurship, and a deep belief in financial empowerment. Before he ever stepped into Trust Wallet, Rik was already building the future of fintech through startups focused on privacy, financial inclusion, and digital transformation.
Today, as Director of Global Operations, he leads with a rare combination of startup grit, global strategic thinking, and a mission-driven approach to self-custody. And his latest milestone, graduating from Harvard Business School’s prestigious “Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage” Executive Education program, has further sharpened the strategic lens he applies to Trust Wallet’s growth.
What started as an entrepreneurial journey has evolved into a mission: helping millions access crypto safely, simply, and confidently.
Early Career & Entrepreneurial Foundations
Rik’s journey began after earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Gallen, where he built a foundation in business and strategy. He started his career at Gate Group International, working in business development and helping build global partnerships across the airline and logistics industries.
But it wasn’t long before his entrepreneurial mindset took over.
He co-founded SONECT, a fintech company focused on payments and financial inclusion across Mexico, Switzerland, and Italy. Under his leadership, the company scaled rapidly and was recognized as a Top 50 European FinTech.
His next venture, HOPR Protocol, marked a deeper step into Web3. HOPR became the first open and incentivized mixnet, pushing new boundaries in data privacy. Rik helped build the commercial and operational frameworks needed to take the protocol from idea to real-world deployment.
These experiences, building from zero, navigating uncertainty, mobilizing teams, scaling across markets, shaped Rik’s operational discipline and strategic thinking long before he joined Trust Wallet.
Joining Trust Wallet: Scaling Self-Custody for Millions
Rik joined Trust Wallet to lead Global Operations, bringing with him a founder’s mindset and a global perspective.
Today, he helps oversee:
Operations & global execution
Data analytics
Compliance & regulatory readiness
Customer Support
TWT Tokenomics and ecosystem programs
His work is deeply cross-functional, bridging Product, Engineering, Compliance, Security, Marketing, and Data to ensure everything runs smoothly at scale for an app with 210M+ downloads worldwide.
Colleagues describe him as someone who connects high-level vision to everyday user impact. Whether developing operational frameworks, shaping product enablement, or coordinating global initiatives, Rik leads with ownership, clarity, and a focus on long-term value.
Harvard Business School Executive Education
In 2025, Rik completed Harvard Business School’s Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage Executive Education program, an intensive, in-person experience designed for global leaders.
The program helped Rik:
Deepen his understanding of competition and market dynamics
Enhance his frameworks for strategic innovation
Sharpen operational prioritization
Collaborate with global executives from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East
For Rik, the program wasn’t a credential, it was a catalyst.
It reinforced his ability to translate Web3 complexity into actionable, scalable strategy. It strengthened his leadership toolkit. And it directly informs how he helps shape Trust Wallet’s long-term roadmap.
In an industry moving at hyper-speed, this balance of strategy and execution sets him apart.
What This Means for Trust Wallet & the Global Community
Rik’s hybrid background, startup founder, operator, strategist, positions him to guide Trust Wallet into its next chapter of growth.
He is particularly focused on:
Simplifying user journeys

A Leader Guided by Curiosity, Strategy & Mission

Ownership guided him through building two companies from scratch.
Strategy now helps him steer global operations at scale.
Mission drives his commitment to making self-custody accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Collaboration defines how he connects teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
His journey is a reminder that leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about growth, courage, and choosing impact over comfort.
