In Brief

Take control of your crypto security. Learn how to view, detect, and revoke risky token approvals directly in Trust Wallet.

Control and Revoke Token Approvals in Trust Wallet

Every time you connect your wallet to a dApp, you grant token approvals - permissions that allow that dApp to access or move your tokens.

Most users don’t realize these approvals stay active indefinitely, even after leaving the app.

Now, Trust Wallet makes it easy to see and revoke your approvals - all directly inside the mobile wallet and the extension.

What are token approvals

When you approve a transaction on a dApp (for example, swapping tokens or using DeFi), you’re allowing that contract to interact with your funds.

If that contract later turns malicious - or if it was risky from the start - it can drain your tokens without another confirmation.

That’s why we’ve added a new Approvals feature to help you stay in control.

What’s new

Trust Wallet now helps you manage your approvals across four key steps:

  1. Grant When you approve a token, Trust Wallet now records and displays it - so you can always see which dApps you’ve connected to.

  2. View You can now review all active approvals in one place: which tokens are approved, for which dApps, and how much access each has.

  3. Detect risk The wallet automatically checks for suspicious or risky approvals, for example, contracts linked to known scams or malicious behavior, and alerts you if anything looks off.

  4. Revoke You can now revoke approvals in just a few taps, directly within Trust Wallet. No need for external websites or third-party tools.

How to control your approvals in Trust Wallet

  1. Open Trust Wallet Homepage (latest version)

  2. Select the ‘Approvals’ tab in the assets section

  3. Review your active approvals

  4. Tap Revoke for any dApp you no longer trust or that are flagged as risky

That’s it! Your approval will be removed from the blockchain, and the dApp will lose access to your tokens.

Why this feature matters

Security shouldn’t be complicated.

With built-in approval management, you can see what has access to your tokens, detect potential threats, and take action instantly — without leaving your wallet.

This is part of our broader mission to make self-custody safer by default — giving users visibility, protection, and control at every step of their Web3 journey.

We’re working on even more security features, so stay tuned!

Best practices for staying secure
