In this guide, you’ll discover how to get started with Trust Wallet SWIFT. You’ll learn how to fund your wallet with crypto, swap tokens, connect to decentralized applications (dApps) and more.
Funding Your Wallet
To explore Web3 using SWIFT, you’ll need to have some crypto in your wallet. SWIFT supports multiple low-cost and scalable major EVM blockchains, including Arbitrum, Polygon, BSC, opBNB, Base, Optimism, and Avalanche, with more continually being added. This means you can add tokens to your wallet on any blockchain SWIFT supports.
There are two main ways to add crypto to your wallet. These include buying crypto directly within the app via our trusted partners, and depositing crypto from an exchange or another wallet. Let’s have a look at how they work.
How to Buy Crypto Using Trust Wallet SWIFT
In this example we’ll look at how to buy Polygon (MATIC).
Select “Buy” from the home screen.
Search for “MATIC” or “Polygon” and select it.
Choose the currency you want to use, then enter the amount of MATIC you want to purchase.
Select the third party provider and payment method you’d like to use.
Select the Buy button and complete the remaining steps.
How to Deposit Crypto to Your SWIFT wallet
You can also deposit crypto from another wallet or centralized exchange. We’ll continue using MATIC as an example.
Select “Receive” from the home screen.
Search for “MATIC” or “Polygon” and select it.
From here you have two options –You can either:
Scan or copy your deposit address and use that on your exchange account, or other wallet to send funds to.
Use the “Deposit from exchange” option to deposit crypto seamlessly from your exchange account.
Note: You can easily deposit NFTs as well, by selecting the “NFT” tab from the home screen and following the instructions to deposit to your SWIFT wallet address.
How to Swap Crypto Using Trust Wallet SWIFT
Trust Wallet SWIFT enables you to swap tokens easier than ever. Additionally, SWIFT’s gas fee abstraction feature accepts gas for transactions in over 200 tokens—meaning users are no longer limited to paying swap transaction fees in the native coin of the blockchain.
This is a milestone feature that removes common frustrations of crypto-natives, while simultaneously making things simple and easy for Web3 beginners.
Let’s look at how to swap from one token to the other using SWIFT.
Select “Swap” from the home screen (located in the bottom row).
Select for the network and asset you want to swap from, and swap to.
Choose the amount you want to swap.
Select “Continue” and review the details before you select Confirm.
Optionally, you can change the token you use to pay gas fees. If you want to change the gas token, select it under the “Gas token” section.
When you use Trust Wallet Token (TWT) as the gas token in SWIFT, you have the opportunity to save on fees.
Once you’ve decided on the gas token, select it.
Select “Confirm” to initiate and complete your token swap.
Connecting to Web3 dApps
The great thing about Web3 is that it’s virtually limitless. You can connect to and explore dApps (decentralized applications) for DeFi, games, NFTs, and so much more.
With SWIFT’s integrated dApp browser, you can connect to these decentralized applications in seconds. Here’s how to connect to Web3 dApps.
In this example, we’ll connect to a popular dApp called Pancake Swap. However, keep in mind that you can connect to thousands of Web3 dApps in a similar way using SWIFT.
Select the “Browser” icon from your Trust Wallet home screen.
Navigate to the dApp URL: in this example https://pancakeswap.finance/
Select “Connect”.
Choose Trust Wallet to connect your wallet.
Select “Connect”.
And that’s it! Now you’re connected to the dApp. Now you can explore all the opportunities the dApp has to offer.
